Camel milk takes center stage

Back in 2010 I wrote a post about camel milk and all its health properties: lower in fat than cow’s milk, higher in vitamins and minerals, can be consumed by those who are lactose-intolerant, just to name a few.
Well, since then it seems that the camel industry has grown tremendously in the UAE. Now, besides the camel milk itself, it is easier and easier to come across burgers, cheese, chocolate, ice cream and other camel products in restaurant menus and supermarket shelves.
And that is not all! The camel products are set to enter Europe!
Here are a couple of interesting articles on the subject:

A taste of the world - all in Dubai Mall

Longing for a much needed vacay, but with absolutely no time or money to actually hit the road? Well, perhaps all you have to do is drive to The Dubai Mall. I can guarantee you will, at least, have a gastronomic journey...
Destination: United States
You may, for example, start your day with a delicious breakfast at Dean & Deluca, the amazing and very popular gourmet food emporium.

For lunch, how about you choose from the 200 options available at The Cheesecake Factory? Now, before ordering too many snacks, appetizers, salads, pastas and all else you can imagine, do remember you still have the 50 legendary cheesecakes and specialty desserts to savor…
And if you still have some room after all this, then head down to Magnolia Bakery. Credited for starting the modern day cupcake craze with its signature pastel-colored buttercream-frosted versions, the place was made even more famous after being featured on the hit TV show Sex and the City.
Destination: Italy
Lose yourself in the simple, but sophisticated elements of the Italian menu of  Armani Caffé. Using only the best quality international ingredients, the restaurant is renowned for its homemade bread, croissants and – of course – pasta!
And don't forget the gelato! After all, you wouldn't dare go to Italy and not have one! In Dubai Mall, you have the Rolls Royce of gelato: Morelli’s, the traditional, artisan Italian ice-cream, made since 1907.
Destination: France
Perhaps you can start with an afternoon tea and many, many macaroons at Laduree.
Then, after some serious shopping (FYI: all the French brands are here as well), you can end your day with a true French culinary experience with breads, cheeses and éclairs at Fauchon.
Not happy with the proposed itineraries? No worries! Go online and choose from over 150 outlets from fine dining to casual eateries, located inside the mall or along the waterfront promenade, facing the Burj Khalifa, the tallest tower in the world.
