New York University Abu Dhabi welcomes Brazilian artist

Brazilian artist Jessica Mein, who divides her time between Dubai, New York and São Paulo, will be at the New York University Abu Dhabi campus next Saturday, April 6, at 2pm, for a talk.

Mein will be joined by Mohammed Kazem, one of the most important and well-known Emirati artists. They will introduce their work and discuss art-making in the United Arab Emirates today.

NYU Abu Dhabi is also hosting Mein’s second solo show in the UAE. Sliced Sky enacts, through a series of drawings, collages and animations, the huge power lines that span the periphery of Dubai and its surroundings. The exhibition will be open to the public on Sundays, from 3pm to 9pm, or by appointment, until May 2.
